JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung assessed that the public's enthusiasm for the opening of the opening night tour at the Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR) exceeded expectations.

He said, since the opening night, the number of visitors who came to enjoy the zoo atmosphere at night was very high.

"I have received a report that the public's interest is extraordinary, beyond expectation. It was only the first day that the queue had taken place," said Pramono in North Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Monday, October 13.

Pramono revealed that many residents asked that Ragunan's night tour be opened every day. However, he emphasized that for the time being, night operations are only carried out every Saturday night.

"They asked not just Saturday night, but I decided for a while on Saturday night first," he said.

The governor added that the focus of the DKI Provincial Government at this time is to regulate the flow of vehicles and parking systems around the Ragunan area so as not to cause traffic jams.

"The handling of parking in the medium and long term in Ragunan must be a top priority. If not, don't let Sunday night be a total traffic jam in Ragunan," said Pramono.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Ragunan Wildlife Park, Wahyudi Bambang, said that the inaugural opening of Night at The Ragunan Zoo on Saturday (11/10) night was attended by 3,713 visitors.

"Visitors are very enthusiastic. If a percentage is made, a picnic is around 60 percent, exercise is 25 percent, and seeing nokturnal animals is 15 percent," he said.

For now, Ragunan's night tour is open every Saturday at 18.00 to 22.00 WIB. Visitors can only enter through the North Gate, while the West Gate is closed. All private vehicles are required to park outside the area, and visitors must use the JakCard Card to enter.

For visitors who wish to continue their visits from day to night, new tickets still have to be purchased because the price of the ticket at night is different from the afternoon ticket.

Not all areas of Ragunan are opened for night visits. The route to dinal animals or those that are active during the day is closed to maintain the comfort of animals. Only four types of animals can be visited at night, namely small mammals, Sumatran tigers, reptiles in the tarium area, and hippos.

In addition, visitors can also watch attractions for feeding a number of animals such as Sumatran tigers, hippos, complexities, snakes, and small mammals at the scheduled hours.
