KPK Tahan Entrepreneur Menas Erwin Terkait Suap Pengurusan Usai Ditangkap Malam Tadi

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained the Director of PT Wahana Adyawarna, Menas Erwin Djohansyah today, September 25. He was detained after being arrested for not being cooperative as a suspect in the bribery case in case management within the Supreme Court (MA).

"Detain detention of the MED brother for the first 20 days," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu at a press conference at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 25.

Asep said that Menas Erwin was arrested in the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) area, Tangerang because he was not cooperative. The entrepreneur is known to have been summoned on Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, August 12.

"The KPK has summoned him as a suspect three times and never attended. Where in the summons, he did not attend twice without information," he said.

In this case, the Minister of Rice allegedly asked former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan to take care of the case. The details are as follows:

Land dispute cases in Bali and East Jakarta; Land dispute case Depok; Land dispute case in Sumedang; Land dispute case in Menteng; Mining land dispute case in Samarinda.

Hasbi then agreed to the request by asking for a reward. "There is a different amount of case management costs depending on the case," said Asep.

"The cost of managing the case is given in stages, namely in the form of an advance payment that is paid at the beginning of the management and repayment if the case is successfully assisted in the management by HH," he continued.

As a result of his actions, Menas is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

The KPK has ensnared former Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan for accepting bribes related to the handling of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) case in the Supreme Court together with former Independent Commissioner Wijaya Karya (Wika) Dadan Tri Yudianto. This case was later developed, in addition to bribery, but also money laundering (TPPU).

The KPK has not yet detailed the suspects in the Hasbi Hasan TPPU case. However, from the information obtained, they are Hasbi Hasan, singer Windy Idol, and Rinaldo Septiarindo B as entrepreneur who is also Windy's older brother.
