Use of the Case of Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah: KPK to Monitor, DPR to Form a Working Committee

Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, stated that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will be involved in supervising the handling of the alleged corruption case involving former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah (FA).

Even so, Habiburokhman emphasized that the leading sector or the main handling of this case remains under the authority of the Attorney General's Office Jampidsus in synergy with the National Police's Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor).

"The handling of this case, which is now handled by the leading sector of Jampidsus, but still in synergy with the Polri Kortastipidkor and will later be supervised by the KPK," said Habiburokhman in the DPR Commission III court room, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Saturday (11/7/2026).

Habiburokhman did not explain in detail the technical and form of supervision that will be carried out by the KPK in the ongoing legal process. However, he emphasized the importance of synergy between legal prosecutors so that the investigation of this kakap corruption case runs optimally.

Synergy of Three Institutions and Strict Supervision by the DPR

To ensure that the legal process is transparent and objective, Commission III of the DPR RI agreed to form a Working Committee (Panja). This step was taken as part of the legislative oversight function of the performance of law enforcement officials.

"Commission III of the DPR RI is fully committed to overseeing the handling of this case until it is completed and legally certain by forming a supervisory team or panja," said Habiburokhman.

It is hoped that the presence of this DPR Committee will be able to strengthen the coordination of the golden triangle of law enforcement in Indonesia in completing the case:

Jampidsus Attorney General: As the leading sector in handling cases. Kortastipidkor Polri: As a strategic partner that synergizes in the investigation. KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission): As an institution that holds external supervisory functions.

This political development in parliament rolled out shortly after the Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin officially received Febrie Adriansyah's resignation letter from the position of Jampidsus.

Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said Febrie's resignation was a form of commitment to maintain the integrity and neutrality of law enforcement, considering that the case is being handled by the National Police investigators.

Previously, the joint team of the National Police's Corruption Eradication Commission and the Metro Jaya Police conducted a massive search at Febrie's private house located in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Thursday (9/7/2026).

In a press conference at the Jampidsus Building, Friday (10/7/2026), Febrie admitted that the house had been his personal property for a long time.

From the fantastic search, the police seized a number of valuable evidence including:

Gold bars: 74 kilograms. Cash in Indonesian rupiah: worth Rp. 100 million. Foreign currency: as much as 4,767,300 US dollars and 14,083,800 Singapore dollars. Other proof of goods: in the form of important documents and mobile phones for investigation.

Until now, the Polda Metro Jaya has stated that there has been no determination of suspects. This search action is known to be an expansion of the joint investigation of a number of cases of alleged corruption in coal management, corruption of PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the period 2020-2025, as well as the alleged TPPU case in the debt of PT CBS to PT KNI.
