Reportedly Becomes Menpora, Erick Thohir Comes At The Palace Full Of Smiles

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to inaugurate a number of new officials from the reshuffle of the third volume of the Red and White Cabinet, including the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) definitively, at the State Palace, Jakarta, today.

One of those who are rumored to be inaugurated is PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir. Reportedly, Erick will be sworn in as Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) replacing Dito Ariotedjo who was reshuffled by President Prabowo Subianto last week.

At around 14.15 WIB, Erick arrived at the State Palace wearing a suit, blue tie, and black cap. Arriving at the Palace, Erick rushed inside while spreading a happy smile.

However, the Minister of SOEs admitted that he did not know whether he was properly appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports.

"I don't know yet. Right, usually it's a blue tie when it's official," Erick told reporters, Wednesday, September 17.

Erick admitted that he had just been reported by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya this morning to come to the Palace.

"My telephone certificate was asked to be present to appear before the President," he said.

Information circulating, President Prabowo is scheduled to inaugurate a new official at around 14.00 WIB.

Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago is rumored to be appointed as the definitive Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs after the position is temporarily filled by the Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.

Djamari is also said to be inaugurated along with a number of other officials who are the result of the reshuffle of the third volume of the Red and White Cabinet.

Apart from Djamari, other officials who are rumored to be appointed include Erick Thohir as Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) and Angga Raka Prabowo as Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO).

Djamari Chaniago was the retired TNI with the last position of the Chief of the General Staff of the TNI on March 8, 2000 March 16, 2004. He served as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army in 1999'2000, Commander of the 24th Army Strategic Reserve Command (Pangkostrad) in 1998 '1999, and Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi in 1997'1998. Djamari graduated from Akabri 1971, senior President Prabowo who graduated from Akabri 1974.

After serving as a TNI soldier, Djamari served as President Commissioner of PT Semen Padang. Currently, he is listed as a member of the Dewan of Titles, Services, and Honorary Signs for the 2025-2030 period.
