KPK Reveals Detention Of Secretary General Of The DPR Indra Iskandar Blocked By Calculation Of State Losses At BPKP

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still waiting for the calculation of state losses by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in the corruption case in the procurement of goods at the house of a member of the DPR RI. They need the results to detain seven suspects, one of which is Indra Iskandar who serves as Secretary General of the DPR RI.

"KPK is also still waiting for the results of the calculation of state financial losses in this case, which is currently being calculated by friends at BPKP," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Wednesday, September 17.

Budi said the detention of the seven suspects would only be carried out after the results of the calculation of state losses were completed. "Later we will immediately update and announce it related to the process of investigating this case," he said.

"Because the KPK certainly also hopes that every case handling process can be carried out effectively," continued Budi.

Meanwhile, Tessa Mahardhika, while still serving as a spokesman for the anti-corruption commission, once said that calculating the state's losses was important. So, he hopes that BPKP will finish its work soon.

"We respect the BPKP auditor who is currently calculating, he hopes that it will be completed soon and this case can be immediately transferred to the public prosecutor," Tessa told reporters quoted on Friday, March 14.

It is certain that the KPK will continue to wait for the results of the calculation of state losses from BPKP. "Because to replace, changing who did it took even longer," he said at the time.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residences whose contents are corrupted are located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.

In this case, requests to prevent overseas have also been made for seven people. Those who are not allowed to travel are the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar; Head of the House Management Section of the DPR RI for the 2019-2022 period, Hiphi Hijati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who are private.

Until now, the KPK has not detained the suspect in this case. They are suspected of violating Article 2 or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law because it is detrimental to state finances.
