Not A Blong Brake, Transjakarta Calls The Bus No Problem When The Driver Hits A Shop In South Jakarta

Head of the Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department of PT Transjakarta Ayu Wardhani explained that the Transjakarta bus that crashed into a shop on Jalan Minangkabau, South Jakarta, had no engine problems or problems.

Ayu also emphasized that the brakes on the bus did not fail when the incident occurred. This was revealed after an internal check by Transjakarta paxa bus that hit the shop.

"Transjakarta and operators in parallel have checked, and ensure there are no technical problems. We are conducting further internal investigations," Ayu said in her statement, Sunday, September 7.

On that occasion, Ayu revealed that there were no fatalities on the bus that raided shops in the Manggarai area, but one person was injured. Transjakarta apologized for this incident. The cost of treatment for victims is borne by Transjakarta and Damri as operators.

"One injured victim was immediately taken to the RSCM with the assistance of Transjakarta and operators, the cost was fully borne by Transjakarta and operators," he said.

The Transjakarta driver with the initials LK (44) crashed into a shop on Jalan Raya Minangkabau, Setiabudi, South Jakarta allegedly due to lack of concentration.

"Because they were not careful and concentrated so the vehicle was out of control and swerved to the right, then hit the shop," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Ojo Ruslani to reporters, Saturday, September 6.

Ruslani said the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at 11.30 WIB.

At first, the driver at that time walked from the south on Jalan Minangkabau then turned around on Jalan Dr. Saharjo.

However, due to lack of concentration, the bus hit the shop and left a guard with the initials S (34) injured.

"The victim was injured on his left ankle, his right ankle abrased and received medical help at RSCM Jakarta," he said.

From this incident, the Transjakarta bus was damaged on the front, such as glass and bumper and the shop yard was damaged.

Previously, it went viral on Instagram social media a video showing residents watching or recording Transjakarta buses crashing into a shop until it was damaged.
