JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the DPR as well as Member of the House of Representatives' Aspiration Body (BAM) Andre Rosiade, responded to the proposal to form a treason investigation team for demonstrations in a number of regions on Thursday, September 4. He asked the public to wait for an official announcement from the leadership of the DPR.

"Of course yesterday the leadership received the BEM SI representatives, yes, and also Cipayung friends, which is clear that we have communicated internally in various agencies so that we can fulfill various demands," said Andre Rosiade in front of the Pancasila Gate, DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 4.

"Yesterday, it was proposed by fellow students to the leadership of the DPR, the leadership of the DPR responded yesterday that the leadership would communicate with the police that for demonstrators who carry out the action peacefully and also the purpose of conveying their aspirations, of course they will be assisted, it has been conveyed by the leadership of the DPR. We are waiting for the process, right," he continued.

Andre confirmed that the leadership of the DPR led by the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, had held a meeting with the leaders of eight factions in the DPR. The meeting was to discuss various demands submitted by the community to Parliament.

The results, said Andre, will be conveyed directly by the leadership of the DPR RI. Meanwhile, he admitted that he was only assigned by the leadership of the DPR to accept the aspirations and documents of the '17+8 People's Demands' that the public wanted to submit.

"Yes, it is true that everything is in the process of us running the process transparently, so that we can immediately fulfill the demands and expectations of the community," said the Gerindra politician.

"Later, let the leadership of the DPR announce it, all things our duty is to now accept the aspirations of our friends, we will hand over all the developmental authority later the leadership of the DPR will convey it," explained Andre.

He also hopes that members of the DPR as representatives of the people can meet the expectations of the community, and can improve performance and be more transparent in the future.

"We continue to carry out transformations for the good of the DPR and the DPR, how can we really work," he concluded.
