Arab League Condemns Israeli Attack On Nasser Hospital Complex In Gaza

JAKARTA - Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit condemned the ongoing Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip, including the latest attack on Nasser Medical Complex.

Israel launched airstrikes against Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, Gaza that killed 20 people, including five journalists and a firefighter on Monday.

In a statement, Aboul-Gheit said the latest massacre was just one episode of a series of crimes and ongoing massacres targeting civilians, highlighting the killings of more than 12 journalists in the past two weeks.

Israel, as a occupation force, is trying to hide the true picture of the atrocities that occurred in Gaza and silence any voice that tells the truth, Aboul-Gheit said.

The Secretary General of the Arab League also demanded the international community to end its embarrassing silence over unprecedented atrocities and crimes, which occur every day in cold blood and without punishment or even an opposing voice and state sufficient for this ongoing massacre.

Aboul-Gheit stressed that the world's inability to do anything means the world is allowing the deaths of dozens of innocent people every day in Gaza as an ordinary occurrence.

Gaza's Ministry of Health on Monday confirmed that the death toll from Israeli aggression since October 2023 has reached 52,744 people, while injured reached 158,259 people.

This figure includes 300 people who died from coconut and malnutrition, of which 117 were children. Meanwhile, the number of journalists who died in the Palestinian enclave has reached 246 people.
