As A KPK Suspect, Immanuel Ebenezer Was Expelled By Gerindra From Party Membership

JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Gerindra Party, Sugiono, emphasized that his party would expel the former Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan from party membership.

Noel's dismissal from Gerindra Party members was carried out after he was named a suspect in the extortion case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Yesterday, the suspect, he was also dismissed as a cabinet member. I think the process in the party will also follow soon. His membership was revoked, his KTA (member card) was revoked," said Sugiono at the State Palace, Monday, August 25.

Sugionk admits that since the 2024 Legislative Election, Noel is a member of the Gerindra Party and has a membership card (KTA). However, Noel has not been considered a cadre until he will finally be fired from party membership in the near future.

"These cadres are the ones who go through a regeneration process. There are several levels and throughout my memory Pak Noel has never participated in cadreization in Gerindra. But as a requirement for pelligants in 2024, there is an obligation to become a member of Gerindra," explained Sugiono.

Noel was named a suspect after he had been arrested by the KPK (OTT) the day before. From the OTT, the KPK confiscated around Rp170 million and US$2,201, as well as money with other denominations. Then, the KPK also confiscated 22 vehicles from Noel and 10 other suspects.

In addition, evidence was also secured in the form of money, cars, and motorbikes. The vehicle was also exhibited at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

The details are Toyota Corolla Cross, Nissan GT-R, Hyundai Palisade, Suzuki Jimny, Vespa Sprint S 150, Hyundai Palisaade black, and Honda CRV.

Then there are Jeep, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Xpander, Hyundai Stargazer, CRV, BMW 330i, Vespa, Ducatimbarmble, CRV, Mitsubishi Xpander black, Pajero Sport, Ducati Hypermotoroad 950, Ducati Xdiavel, and one Ducati type motorcycle.

After being named a suspect on Friday afternoon, Noel publicly conveyed his apology to President Prabowo Subianto. Noel also defended himself, and said he was not subject to OTT and was not involved in an extortion case. Therefore, Noel also hopes to get amnesty from President Prabowo.
