Komjak: South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office Immediately Executes Silfester Matutina

The Prosecutor's Commission (Komjak) said that the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office would immediately execute the General Chair of the Red and White Solidarity (Solmet), Silfester Matutina, whose legal status has permanent legal force or commitment.

Silfester Matutina was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison in connection with the slanderous cases against the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla.

"The commitment was executed as soon as possible," said Commissioner of Komjak, Nurukhman, to VOI, Thursday, August 14.

The commitment to execute the Silfester was conveyed by the executor prosecutor when Komjak visited the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, today.

Regarding the reasons for the obstacles faced until the execution process was not carried out, Nurohman did not explain in detail. However, it is said that the executor prosecutor has explained it to Komjak.

"The South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office has conveyed that but not everything can be conveyed to the public," he said.

All information, including the obstacles that have been conveyed by the South Jakarta District Attorney, will be a study material. Later, the results will be submitted to the AGO as a form of recommendation.

"The results of the study will later become a recommendation for Komjak to the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office to be able to optimize its performance," said Nurukhman.

For information, Silfester Matutina was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months for a general criminal case in 2019. However, until now, the authorities, namely the South Jakarta District Attorney, have not made an exception even though the decision has permanent legal force since 6 years ago.

Most recently, Silfester Matutina officially submitted a PK application on August 5, 2025 at the South Jakarta District Court. The inaugural trial will be held on August 20, 2025.
