After The INDONESIAN 80th Anniversary Ceremony, The First Carnival Of Diversity Was Held At Monas

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka are scheduled to release the United Independence Carnival which will be held on the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the National Monument, Jakarta, Sunday, August 17 evening.

"All (Prabowo and Gibran) were present," said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, confiscated by Antara.

Prasetyo explained that the carnival would depart from the Monas area at around 19.30 WIB, after the completion of a series of proclamation second ceremonies in the morning and a flag-lowing ceremony in the afternoon.

This event became the first carnival to be held in commemoration of independence in the capital city at night. Prasetyo also invited the public to attend immediately to celebrate the activity.

"If you still have free time, you are pleased to be able to watch for the first time, maybe we will build a carnival at night which will depart at around 19.30 WIB from the area around Monas," said Prasetyo.

The carnival route will pass in front of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Supreme Court, and the Merdeka Palace, before turning towards Jalan MH Thamrin and Sudirman.

Apart from the president and vice president, all ranks of ministers are scheduled to attend. Some of them stated that they would also be in ornamental cars representing their respective ministries.

"Many ministers have told us that they want not only to be present but want to be in the ornamental cars of each ministry," concluded Prasetyo.

The peak of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia took place on August 17, 2025, centered at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. This year's proclamation commemoration ceremony is chaired for the first time by President Prabowo Subianto.

After the ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, President Prabowo opened the door to the Indonesian Presidential Palace for the People's Party on August 17, 2025. Various foods and drinks were served free of charge by the community participating in the ceremony during the People's Party, which was the first time it was held during the Indonesian Independence Day at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia.

For people who are not participants of the ceremony, the People's Party will also be held in the National Monument area on August 17, 2025, from morning to night.
