KPK Immediately Calls Nadiem Makarim Regarding Investigation Of Alleged Corruption In Google Cloud Procurement

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately summoned Nadiem Makarim as the former Minister of Education and Culture. His statement is needed to investigate allegations of corruption in the procurement of Google Cloud at the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"The KPK is open to the possibility of summoning anyone as soon as possible so that the process of handling this case can also immediately go up to investigation," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 4.

Budi has not yet specified the exact time for the summons to Nadiem. However, a VOI source said the former GoJek boss would be asked to attend the KPK's Merah Putih building by investigators this week.

This Google Cloud, he continued, serves to store data such as tasks to test results. Asep said, the way it works is actually the same as the current online storage on smart cellphones.
