JAKARTA - The Papua High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has again searched the offices of Perum Bulog Kanwil Papua and West Papua in Jayapura, Friday, July 25.

Previously, the Papuan Attorney General's team also conducted a search of the house of the former Head of the Wamena Bulog Branch located in Bulog housing in the Sunyi Dok V Valley, said Head of Special Crime Investigations Velery Sawaki in Jayapura, Friday, which was confiscated by Antara.
Papua Prosecutor's Office Investigator Hendra Wijaya said that previously the search at the Perum Bulog office in Jayapura was on Thursday, July 17.
The search was carried out in relation to the handling of a case of alleged corruption in the sale of SPHP rice in the Wamena Bulog environment which is estimated to cost the state Rp80 billion.
Currently, 38 witnesses have been questioned, including the former Head of Perum Bulog Regional Office of Papua.
"However, until now investigators have not named a suspect in the case because they are still waiting for the results of the calculation of state losses carried out by the auditors," said Sawaki.
He added, since this case was upgraded, its status has been recorded at around Rp. 1 billion.
"The money was returned by the witnesses and hoped that other witnesses would do the same thing considering that the money caused state losses," said Valery Sawaki.
