As A Result Of The Road Diversion Due To Macron's Visit, Traffic Jakarta Is Getting More And More Congested

The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya said that severe congestion on a number of Jakarta roads occurred due to the impact of traffic diversion related to the French President's state visit, Emmanuel Macron.

"There is an impact on the diversion due to a series of state trips by the President of France. This has an impact on several roads," said Wadirlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.

Argo also explained that apart from state visits, the increase in vehicle volume occurred due to Friday (29/5) holidays.

"Many Jakarta residents choose to go home early before the national holiday, so the traffic burden increases drastically at the same time," he said.

The police continue to try to unravel congestion on a number of roads.

"Currently, officers are still carrying out efforts to disburse traffic volume," said Argo.

Based on observations on social media X, through the official account @TMCPoldaMetro, traffic can be seen on a number of roads, starting from Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Pancoran, Jalan S. Parman towards Tomang.
