Lamandau Police Karhutla Prevention Preparedness Apple: Central Kalimantan Police Chief Urges Patrol Improvement

The Lamandau Resort Police (Polres) held an assembly to prevent forest and land fires (Karhutla) in the Lamandau Regency area, led by the Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Iwan Kurniawan virtually, Friday.

The apple, which was attended directly by the Lamandau Police Chief, AKBP Joko Handono, the Forkopimda of Lamandau Regency at the Lamandau Police Headquarters yard, was attended by personnel from the Lamandau Police, TNI, SAR and firefighters.

In his briefing, the Central Kalimantan Police Chief emphasized the importance of preparedness of all personnel in dealing with the potential for forest and land fires.

The Central Kalimantan Police Chief appealed to all personnel to increase patrols and supervision in areas prone to forest and land fires, to be proactive in providing socialization and education to the public about the dangers of forest and land fires, as well as prevention efforts, in a written statement from the Lamandau Police, Friday, May 16.

In addition, the Central Kalimantan Police Chief also ordered personnel to be prepared with existing Karhutla equipment and countermeasures.

"Good cooperation and coordination between relevant agencies is also the key to success in the prevention and control of Karhutla," said the Central Kalimantan Police Chief in a statement from the Lamandau Police, Friday, May 16.

After the apple, the Lamandau Police Chief AKBP Joko Handono led the checking of the facilities and infrastructure for the readiness to deal with Karhutla.

The Lamandau Police Chief said the rally that was held was a concrete step by the Lamandau Police in an effort to prevent the occurrence of forest and land fires in the Lamandau Regency area.

The Lamandau Police are committed to continuing to make maximum efforts in maintaining public security and order, including in preventing the occurrence of forest and land fires that can harm the community and the environment.
