The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Center (TNBTS) closed tourist activities throughout the national park area on 10-13 June 2025 to honor the Yadnya Kasada ritual.
Head of TNBTS Center Rudijanta Tjahja Nugraha said the closure of tourism activities was the result of a mutual agreement decided through a coordination meeting of the institution with related parties.
"Paying attention to the results of the coordination meeting, the TNBTS area is closed for tourism activities, on Tuesday (10/6) from 00.01 to Friday (13/6) at 24.00 WIB. This closure is a form of respecting the Yadnya Kasada ritual ceremony," said Rudi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 16.
The closure of the TNBTS area in order to honor the Yadnya Kasada ceremony has been regulated by the agency in the Announcement Letter Number: PG.8/T.8/BIDTEK/KSA.5.1/B/05/2025 concerning the Closing of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Tourism During the Yadnya Kasada Ritual Ceremony in 2025.
The letter was issued by the TNBTS Center, on Thursday (15/5).
Rudi said, during the implementation of the closure of tourism activities, the TNBTS area can only be accessed by people who will follow the Yadnya Kasada ritual.
"For the Yadnya Kasada ritual ceremony it will be held on 10-11 June 2025," he said.
Then, from Thursday (12/6) to Friday (13/6), the entire TNBTS area will be cleaned.
"The 12-13 June is cleaning the area," he said.
Rudi appealed to the public that tourism service business actors could pay attention to the announcement regarding the closure of this area.
"So that this rule can be implemented with full responsibility," he said.
The TNBTS Center has coordinated with the TNI, Polri, and Pecalang to supervise and guard each entrance to the natural tourism area.
In addition, the TNBTS Center ensures that it does not open the quota for ticket sales for tourist visits, especially to Mount Bromo, during the date of the Yadnya Kasada ritual and regional cleaning.
