JAKARTA - The Central PWI Housing Team moved quickly to review the location of subsidized housing for journalists in the Cileungsi area, Bogor, West Java. This was done as a follow-up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between BTN, the Ministry of PKP, Komdigi, and BP Tapera in the program to provide subsidies for journalists' houses as many as 1,000 units.
The review was carried out on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in two locations, namely Pesona Kahuripan 10 and 11. The team from the Central PWI consists of M. Sarwani, Sangky Wahyudin, Edi Kuswanto, and Daryadi. They were accompanied by representatives from BTN, namely Sekar Cita Utami and Ismi Tri Dharmanti (Business Development), and Achmad Nadji (Sales Management).
The head of the Central PWI Housing Team, Tundra Meliala, said that this program was a real step in responding to the needs of decent housing for journalists.
"This is a concrete step. The government is here for journalists. We immediately moved to the field to ensure location readiness," said Tundra.
Chairman of the Central PWI Hendry Ch Bangun stated that this subsidized housing program is part of the government's commitment to supporting the fulfillment of the basic needs of low-income people (MBR), especially people in the press. The houses will be channeled through the Tapera and Prosperous KPR financing scheme by BTN.
"Residents have been at the forefront of maintaining democracy. They deserve access to decent and affordable housing. This is a tangible manifestation of the state's alignment," said Hendry.

To participate in this program, journalists must meet several requirements, such as not having a house, having never received housing subsidies, and including MBR. The maximum income limit is set at IDR 7 million for unmarried people and IDR 8 million for married people. For the Jabodetabek area, the limit is expanded to IDR 8 million (not married) and IDR 13 million (not married), following an affirmative policy related to vertical residential ownership.
Hendry added that the verification process will be carried out thoroughly so that this program is right on target and sustainable. "This is the result of joint work. We make sure this subsidy house really reaches journalists in need," closed Hendry.
