JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said one of the core points of his meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) Al Nahyan was seeking input related to peace efforts in Gaza.

"We want to get input, thoughts, views from leaders in this area. Of course we all think about how we can help solve conflict problems in this region, Gaza and its surroundings," Prabowo said giving a press statement after meeting President MBZ as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 9.

According to him, the meeting was an important forum to find out various developments in developing geopoliticals, including finding peace solutions related to the ongoing conflict situation in Gaza.

President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia is committed to being able to create peaceful solutions through a diplomatic approach. Therefore, intensive communication and consultation with world leaders is very important.

"We want to seek peace efforts, and for that we must consult each other to get better input," he said.

The President also revealed that UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also conveyed his intention to return to Indonesia.

President Prabowo said his party welcomed the visit plan and would welcome it openly.

"He said he wanted to go to Jakarta, I said every time we received it well," said Prabowo.

In the meeting of President Prabowo and President MBZ, it was known that Indonesia and the UAE also agreed on eight agreements with details of four of them being intergovernmental cooperation (G2G), while the other four agreements were inter-business cooperation (B2B) between the government and business.
