Bags Of Involvement Instructions Are The Reason For The KPK To Prioritize Searching Ridwan Kamil's House In The BJB Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has pocketed instructions for Ridwan Kamil's alleged involvement in the corruption case in the procurement of advertisements at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).

This finding directed investigators to search the house of the former Governor of West Java on Monday, March 10.

"What is the involvement of RK so that the first place that was searched was RK's house, we KPK in carrying out forced searches of course there were previous clues that we have obtained," said Acting Director of KPK Investigation Budi Sokmo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 13.

Budi said that this decision was taken as the head of the task force (kasatgas) who handled the Bank BJB case. "Who is the first priority for me to search RK's house, because indeed that is the most important thing we will do for the first time," he said.

"It is one of the technical investigations that may not be explained in detail," he continued.

Meanwhile, when asked about Ridwan Kamil's legal status, Budi did not say much. This is because the examination of the chairman of the Golkar Party DPP has not yet been carried out.

"In this case the witness has not, yes, because he has not been summoned and when he will be summoned, we will definitely call him because at the house in question, we carried out a search and some of the evidence that we confiscated that we had to clarify," explained this investigator.

Based on the information gathered, investigators confiscated two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles from Ridwan Kamil's house. Then also found documents related to the case being investigated.

Previously reported, the KPK named five suspects for alleged corruption in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023. They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi and Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto.

Then he was also named a suspect from the private sector, namely the Controlling Agency of Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Controlling the BSC Administration Agency and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Express (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controlling PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. The investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
