JAKARTA - The Kremlin says the old West's accusations of Russia sabotageing the US and Europe are "empty", baseless and unproven.
The Kremlin made the statement when asked to comment on the US report suspending certain measures against the alleged Russian sabotage campaign.
"There is no confirmation of the existence of a sabotage campaign that has been established even in the special trial process that has been attempted in the United States and in the capital cities of European countries," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov said the administration of US President Donald Trump was only trying to get rid of anything ineffective, corrupt, and unreasonable.
Previously, the United States and NATO allies had repeatedly accused Russia of carrying out sabotage campaigns in the West, including against energy infrastructure.
Britain's head of foreign spies Richard Moore in November accused Russia of carrying out a very concurrent sabotage operation in Europe.
Three Bulgarians were found guilty in a London court on Friday of being part of a Russian spy unit run by fugitive Wirecard Jan Marsalek to carry out surveillance of US military bases and other individuals targeted by Moscow.
Russia has consistently denied its involvement in planning sabotage or attacks.
