Visiting Napi At Cipinang Prison, Two Visitors Tucked In 12 Packages Of Methamphetamine And Marijuana In The Sandals

JAKARTA - Two men with the initials HA and AF were arrested by officers for smuggling narcotics for inmates (prisoners) with the initials BA at the Class I Cipinang Correctional Institution (Lapas). While acting, the two perpetrators pretended to be visitors, visiting BA inmates at the prison.

Head of Cipinang Class 1 Headquarters, Wachid Wibowo, said that this disclosure began with the suspicion of officers against HA and AF.

Officers suspected that they saw one of the perpetrators, a visitor to the prison, walking unnaturally, as if hiding something.

Out of suspicion, officers searched the two perpetrators. Until finally the officers found a suspicious object on the base of the perpetrator's sandals.

After more detailed investigation, 12 packages of narcotics were found in the sandals.

A total of 12 packages of white crystals weighing 140.98 grams suspected of being methamphetamine and 4 packages of brown dry plants weighing 67.25 grams suspected of being marijuana were confiscated by officers.

This finding was immediately secured for further processing. Kalapas immediately coordinated with the East Jakarta Metro Police, to follow up on the case.

"We will continue to increase supervision. All parties involved in illegal actions will be processed according to applicable law," he said.

Currently, the case is still under development by the East Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit to uncover the network of the two suspects in the Cipinang Prison.
