Ignoring Megawati's Instructions, Brebes Regent And Grobogan Regent Ngeyel Join The Retret In Magelang

JAKARTA - Brebes Regent Paramitha Widya Kusuma and Grobogan Regent Setyo Hadi continue to depart for the Retret of Regional Heads at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java, which began on Friday, February 21.

In fact, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri asked the regional head from the PDIP to postpone participating in the retreat and wait for the command. Even though he claimed to have known about Megawati's instructions, Paramitha still insisted on taking the retreat in Magelang.

Not only the Regent of Brebes, the Regent of Grobogan, Central Java, Setyo Hadi, who is a PDIP cadre, also continues to go on a retreat.

Setyo Hadi departed after attending the plenary meeting of the Grobogan DPRD, Friday, February 21.

"To the plenary first, complete the plenary directly to Magelang, a maximum of 3 pm the schedule is there," said Setyo Hadi, yesterday.

Previously, PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri ordered the head and deputy regional head of her party not to participate in retret activities in Magelang on February 21-28. Megawati's order was conveyed through a letter numbered 7294/IN/DPP/II/2025 issued today, Thursday, February 20 or after PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was detained by the KPK. The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia asked the regional head from his party to postpone participating in the retreat.

"It was instructed to all regional heads and deputy regional heads of the PDI-P as follows: regional heads and deputy regional heads to postpone travel that will take part in the retret in Magelang on February 21-28," Megawati wrote in a letter obtained from a source on Thursday evening, February 21.

Megawati ordered them to wait for further directions from him if they had traveled.

"If you have been on your way to Magelang City to stop and wait for further directions from the general chairman," he said.

Not only that, Megawati also asked regional heads to remain active and on standby for further orders. This instruction was issued by Megawati who observed the dynamics of national politics after Hasto was detained.

He said that there had been legal criminalization. Megawati alluded to having control in providing instructions for regional heads from PDIP.
