JAKARTA - The police carried out traffic engineering as a measure to anticipate congestion due to the inauguration of regional heads at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

Road users are advised to avoid roads around the State Palace and the National Monument (Monas) today from 06.00 WIB to noon.

The following is traffic engineering applied:1. Traffic flow from Jalan Veteran Raya which goes to Jalan Veteran III will be straightened to traffic light (TL) Harmoni.2. Traffic flow from Jalan Merdeka Timur which will go to Jalan Merdeka Utara/Istana Negara (A9) will be diverted to the right to Jalan Perwira.3. Traffic flow from Jalan Ridwan Rais which will go to Jalan Merdeka Selatan will be smoothed to Jalan Merdeka Timur.4. Traffic flow from Jalan MH Thamrin which goes to the Jalan MH Thamrin will be turned left or right to Jalan Kebon Sirih.5. Traffic flow from Jalan Abdul Muis which will turn left to Jalan Gajah Mada or straightened to Jalan Ir H Juanda.7. The traffic flow from Jalan Veteran to Jalan Veteran will be diverted to the right towards Pasar Baru.8. Traffic current from Jalan Veteran Raya which will go straight to Jalan Veteran I is straightened towards TL.9. The traffic current from Jalan Veteran Raya, which will go to Jalan Veteran II, is smoothed to TL Harmoni.
