Ada Occupant Rusunawa Punya 5 Angkot Jak Lingko, DPRD Minta Semua Penwa Didata Retah

Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, urged the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to re-register the social and economic status of the residents of simple rented flats (rusunawa).

This is because it was found that there were residents of the flats who had 5 units of Jak Lingko public transportation. This raises questions about the precise targets of the residents of the flats.

"The finding that some residents have Jak Lingkot Angkot does raise questions about their economic condition," said Wibi, Sunday, February 16.

The chairman of the DKI Jakarta NasDem Party DPW also urged the Provincial Government to evaluate thoroughly. So, he said, there is a fair solution for residents.

This is because until now there are still many Jakarta residents with low economic categories who are queuing for the availability of rusunawa units as their place of residence. Not to mention, the DKI Provincial Government is facing the problem of the large number of residents of the Rusunawa who are in arrears. The total arrears of flats in Jakarta reached Rp95 billion.

"This is not only to solve the arrears problem, but also to ensure that the assistance and policies provided are right on target," said Wibi.

For information, rusunawa arrears that reached Rp95 billion in Jakarta as of January 31, 2025, have been recorded since 2010. Where, residents with the programed category of people have not made payments for rusunawa rental fees since occupying them. Later, the arrears continued to grow.

"Finally, they are still in arrears, road administrative sanctions but they are not executed, and that also invites other general (category) communities. The general public, even though they intend to live there, but there are also those whose income may be mediocre," explained Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas (DPRKP) Meli Budiastuti.

"When they get a letter to forcibly vacate it, they sometimes make complaints to council members. So, we can't apply that," said Meli.

Based on the records of the DKI DPRKP, in the programmed community, the arrears were recorded at 7,615 units with a total arrears of Rp. 54.9 billion consisting of arrears in residential leases of Rp. 27 billion, rental fines of Rp. 9.3 billion, electricity of Rp. 567 million, and water of Rp. 18 billion.

Meanwhile, in the general category, arrears in 9,416 units with a total arrears of Rp40.5 billion consisting of arrears in residential leases of Rp28.2 billion, rental fines of Rp4.9 billion, electricity of Rp98.1 million, and water of Rp7.22 billion.
