JAKARTA - South Korea's Customs and Excise revealed that it discovered a new type of synthetic drug for the first time in an international package from France.

The compound, known as 4-Benzyloxy-3.5-dimethoxyphenethylamine, has similarities with Mescaline, which is a psychedelic substance commonly used as a recreational drug, according to the Korean Customs Service.

Reported by ANTARA from Yonhap-OANA, Wednesday, February 13, his party said the analysis of the chemical structure confirmed that the item was a new synthetic drug that was reported for the first time in the world.

According to the authorities, his party had found the compound in an unknown type of powder, in a routine examination.

Mescaline is a natural psychedelic originating from the Mexican peyote cactus and the San Pedro cactus, which comes from Peru and Ecuador.

Mescaline can give off a subtleinogenous effect similar to LSD and magic mushrooms.
