Commission VII DPR Asks The Government To Guarantee MSMEs Registered For 3 Kilogram LPG Sub Bases

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI, Chusnunia Chalim highlighted the government's policy of assigning PT Pertamina (Persero) to open access for shop owners so that they can become 3 kilograms of LPG sub bases. He asked the government to provide guarantees to MSMEs registered as LPG (elpiji) gas sub bases of 3 kg.

According to Chusnunia, although this policy is expected to increase the availability of LPG for the community, there are still many shop owners who have difficulty in the registration process, especially regarding the use of the online system.

Chusnunia mengungkapkan, masih ada UMKM di beberapa daerah yang belum dapat menjual LPG 3 Kg karena belum memahami prosedur pendaftaran sebagai sub base melalui Mercant Apps Pangkalan (MAP) Pertamina.

"This program must be accompanied by massive socialization and adequate assistance for MSME actors. Do not let the government's good intentions to expand access to subsidized LPG become an obstacle for small stalls because of the lack of understanding and limitations of access to technology," Chusnunia Chalim told reporters, Monday, February 10.

Therefore, Chusnunia urges Pertamina and the government to be more active in providing technical assistance to shop owners, either through direct training or the provision of easily accessible aid centers.

In addition, the PKB legislator also encourages an alternative registration mechanism for those who are not used to digital systems.

"We at Commission VII of the DPR RI will continue to oversee this policy so that it really benefits the community and does not add to the burden on MSMEs," said Chusnunia.

With the guarantee from the government, he hopes that the distribution of 3 Kg LPG can run more smoothly, the needs of the community are met, and MSME actors can still run their business without administrative restrictions.

"The government must ensure that all shop owners, especially in the regions, get easy and fair access in this sub-base program," he concluded.
