The defendants of Indonesian Navy personnel (AL) in the case of shooting the car rental boss that occurred at the KM45 rest area, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Jayanti, did not file an exception or defense at the inaugural trial with the agenda of reading the charges.

The three defendants were defendant 1 on behalf of the Head of Classi (KLK) Bambang Apri Atmojo, defendant 2 Second Sergeant Akbar Adli, and defendant 3 First Sergeant Rafsin Hermawan.

The presiding judge in the trial, Arif Rachman previously revealed to the defendants the right to file an exception. The three defendants immediately discussed the decision with legal counsel.

"Based on the indictment read by the military investigator, the defendant has the right to file an exception or not. Because the defendants are accompanied by legal counsel, please consult or coordinate first," said Judge Arif to the defendants at the Jakarta Military Court II-08, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday 10 February, confiscated by Antara.

The defendants immediately approached the legal advisory table. The discussion lasted for approximately five minutes.

"Because we were accompanied by legal counsel, we handed it over to the legal adviser," said the defendant 2 Sergeant Akbar Adli.

"Receiving the indictment from the military apparatus and we as the legal advisor team of the defendant will not file an exception," said the defendant's legal adviser.

Three members of the Indonesian Navy from the Military Oditurat II-07 Jakarta were charged with detaining the car rental boss who occurred at the KM45 rest area, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Jayanti, Tangerang Regency, Banten, last Thursday, January 2.

"That the actions of the defendants have fulfilled the elements of a criminal act as regulated and threatened with a crime in accordance with Article 480 of the 1st Criminal Code Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code with the article of detention," said the Military Oditur from the Military Oditurat II-07 Jakarta who handled the case, namely Major Korps hukum (Chk) Gori Rambe at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday.

In addition to the article on detention, two of the three suspects, namely Defendant 1 on behalf of the Head Classi (KLK) Bambang Apri Atmojo and defendant 2 Second Sergeant Akbar Adli, were charged with violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code related to premeditated murder.

The trial began at 10.00 WIB led by Lieutenant Chief Judge Colonel Chk Arif Rachman with Lieutenant Lieutenant Colonel Chk Nanang Subeni and Lieutenant Lieutenant Judge Colonel Chk Gatot Sumarjono.
