Police Difficulty Identifying Victims Of Death In Death Accident At GT Ciawi

JAKARTA - The police have difficulty identifying the victim who died in the fatal accident incident that occurred at the Ciawi Toll Gate (GT), Katulampa Village, Bogor City. Because, no identity cards and three vehicles involved in the burning accident were found.

"It's true that out of 6 vehicles, two Avanza vehicles caught fire, the truck had its head on fire," said Police Traffic Police Chief Brigadier General Agus Suryo Nugroho at the location, Wednesday, February 5.

Therefore, the forensic team will be involved in the identification process. Then, Korlantas will also coordinate with the hospitals that handle the victims.

For this reason, Agus asked all parties to wait for the identification and investigation process of the cause of the accident to be completed. Later, all the results will be made clear.

"So of course we will involve forensics, we will coordinate with the hospital later the doctor will provide information so that later we ask for complete time," said Agus.

The fatal accident was known to have occurred Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at around 23.30 WIB. Starting from a gallon truck traveling from Ciawi to Jakarta. Then it is suspected that the brakes failed right at the toll gate.

Thus, the truck crashed into five other vehicles. Where, three vehicles including a truck caught fire and others were crushed.

As a result of the accident, 19 people became victims, 11 of whom were injured. There were three seriously injured victims. They are Bendi Wijaya; Dany Nursamsu; and Sukanta who are Jasa Marga officers.

As for the minor injuries, 8 people were recorded. They are Ari Nuharom; Wahyudin; Nurdin Ahyani; Yogi Satrio; Yosep Irawan; Dasep Naseh; Sugiarti; and Ryuji Adriana.

Then, there were eight people who died. Regarding his identity, he is still in the identification process.
