JAKARTA - Commission VI of the DPR RI approved that the Draft Law (RUU) on the third amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) be brought to the Plenary Meeting next week.

This was said by the Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Anggia Ermarini, in a Working Meeting with the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, at the DPR/MPR Building, Jakarta, Saturday, February 1.

"With the receipt and ratification of the bill in Commission VI of the DPR RI, we will then report it to the Plenary Session of the DPR RI for decision making for level 2 discussions to be further passed on to become a law," Anggia told reporters.

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Ahmad Dasco, said that the plenary meeting for the ratification of the bill will be held on Tuesday next week (4/2/2025).

"Next Tuesday's plan," he said when asked by the media about when the plenary meeting will be held.

He also said there was nothing special about why the determination was carried out at the end of the week.

"Yes, actually there is nothing special, just because these are friends because it has been discussed for how many days, apparently this is because so that the time lag is not too long, we ask for it to be finished today. We ask the government if it can be today, it turns out that it can be today," said Dasco.

* Confirmation regarding BUMN assets.

* Arrangements related to human resources, where SOEs provide opportunities for people with disabilities and the local community.

* Female employees are given the opportunity to occupy the position of directors, board of commissioners, or other strategic positions in BUMN.

* Arrangements related to the formation of BUMN subsidiaries are more detailed in order to ensure that subsidiaries make a big contribution to SOEs and the state.

* Arrangements related to corporate actions that include the merger, consolidation, takeover, and stricter separation of SOEs in order to create competitive, reliable, resilient SOEs.

* Arrangements are fundamentally related to the privatization of SOEs in order to ensure that privatization provides benefits for the performance of SOEs, the community, and the state.

* Arrangements regarding internal surveillance units, audit committees, and other committees.

* Regulations regarding the obligation of SOEs to carry out coaching, training, empowerment, and cooperation with MSMEs and cooperatives, as well as the community, by prioritizing the community in the area around SOEs.

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the BUMN Bill would be the basis for establishing the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara).
