JAKARTA - Joint officers again found and evacuated pieces of body parts of victims of the Glodok Plaza fire in Tamansari, West Jakarta, Thursday, January 23, afternoon.

"Yes, there was another evacuation of victims. There is one body bag today," said Metro Tamansari Police Chief AKBP Riyanto when confirmed by VOI.

The current number of body bags is 12 bags that have been handed over to the Forensic Medical DVI Team of the Police Hospital.

"So a total of 12 body bags," he said.

For the evacuation of the bodies of fire victims today, Thursday, January 23, the victim was found and evacuated from the 8th floor of Glodok Plaza Mall.

"It was found near the sound manager's room on the 8th floor," he said.

Furthermore, 1 body bag was put into the Biddokkes Polda Metro Jaya car to be sent to the Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

"One body bag has been taken to the Police Hospital. It has just been taken," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Muljadi (56), a man who worked at Glodok Plaza as the Head of the Sound System, a karaoke place, was still being sought by his family on Friday, January 17, 2025.

Muljadi became one of the people on the wanted list of missing people at the tactical post after a fire broke out at Glodok Plaza Mall on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

"My father worked in the plaza as the head of the sound system at the upper-floor karaoke. About 20 years (work there)," Stanly told VOI at the DVI post at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

Stanly said that the fire that hit Glodok Plaza was not the first time this had happened. To his knowledge from his father, Glodok Plaza had burned several times.

"Before my father worked there, there was indeed a karaoke business too. Before my father entered (worked) there, there had been two fires. And yesterday this was the third time (the fire in the plaza gedok)," he said.

Stanly admitted that after learning of the fire on Wednesday, January 15, at night, he went straight to the location of the fire at Glodok Plaza on Thursday, January 16, morning.

He came with his younger brother and mother to find the whereabouts of Muljadi (56) his father. The reason is, that night, Muljadi was still working at the scene.
