JAKARTA - The Directorate of Monitoring of the KPK has apparently made a study regarding the digitization of PT Pertamina's General Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) (Persero). A number of problems were found that had an impact on the high number of distribution corrections and the distribution deviation rate.
This was conveyed by the KPK Spokesperson Team, Budi Prasetyo, in response to the investigation into the alleged corruption in the digitization of PT Pertamina (Persero) gas stations. He said that this preventive measure should be able to close the gap in corrupt practices.
"Regarding the investigation of cases of alleged corruption in the digitization of gas stations in Pertamina, previously the KPK had also made prevention efforts through a study at the Monitoring Directorate. This is a form of inter-strategy integration in eradicating corruption," Budi said in his statement quoted on Thursday, January 23.
Budi said there was a risk study that had been carried out, mainly related to the management of certain types of fuel (JBT) for diesel oil.
"KPK found problems with digitizing nozzles or spray pipes which resulted in high distribution correction rates and distribution irregularities," he said.
The findings were then submitted to PT Pertamina (Persero). Recommendations are also included so that they can be addressed immediately.
"So that energy management does not cause state financial losses and can provide the maximum benefit to the community," continued Budi.
Furthermore, the KPK is also intensely assisting SOEs, BUMDs, and the private sector through the Directorate of Anti-Corruption of Business Entities (AKBU). The implementation of a system with integrity through guidelines to prevent corruption (Pancek) has been reminded to continue.
"In addition, the KPK has intensively provided and socialized to these business actors as part of strengthening their individual integrity, within the framework of anti-corruption education through the Deputy for Education and Community Participation," said Budi.
Previously reported, the KPK is again investigating allegations of corruption at PT Pertamina (Persero). This time, the connection with the digitization project of public refueling stations (SPBU) allegedly occurred in 2019-2023.
To investigate this case, the anti-corruption commission has issued an investigation warrant (sprindik) in September 2024. A suspect has been named.
