The East Aceh Resort Police revealed a provisional suspicion that the two ships carrying 264 Rohingya immigrants and land on the coast of Seumilang Beach, Alue Bu Village, West Peureulak District, East Aceh Regency, came from Myanmar.

The police chief said that the presence of the Rohingya immigrants at Seumilang Beach was initially known to M.Tayeub Abu Bakar who was looking for fish on Sunday (5/1) at around 22.00 WIB.
The fisherman saw two motorboats hand in hand about 200 meters from the shoreline. At that time, Tayoub Abu Bakar had not seen in detail the people on the ship.
Feeling suspicious, Tayeb Abu Bakar contacted the West Peureulak Police.
"After a few moments later, the two ships landed at Seumilang Beach and the passengers got off. After that, it was discovered that the ship's passengers were Rohingya immigrants," said Nova.
