Judge Rejects The Defendant's Exception Case Of Wrong Transfer Of Rp. 51 Million, Lawyer Requesting Suspension Of Detention

SURABAYA - The panel of judges decided to reject the objection note filed by Ardi's attorney, R. Hendrix Kurniawan. The case of wrongly transferring Rp. 51 million with the defendant Ardi Pratama was continued.

The panel of judges considered not accepting the objection note, because what was submitted was not included in the material being considered. In addition, the exception of the defendant's attorney was deemed not based on law.

"Declaring the objection from the defendant's attorney is not accepted. The public prosecutor will continue to examine the case on behalf of the defendant Ardi. Suspending the court fee until the decision," said Chief Judge Ni Made Purnami, while presiding over the interlocutory decision trial at the District Court (PN), Thursday March 4, 2021.

After the trial, Ardi's lawyer, R. Hendrix Kurniawan, respected the panel of judges' decision. His party is preparing for the next trial agenda on Tuesday, March 9, namely the trial of witnesses and evidence.

"We will try to get (the defendant) Ardi pure free," said Hendrix.

In addition to preparing for the trial, Hendrix also submitted a postponement of Ardi's detention to the panel of judges. His family is ready to be Ardi's guarantor, who is currently detained at the Class 1 Detention Center in Surabaya, Medaeng.

"The reason for the suspension is because he is the backbone of the family, having three young children," said Hendrix.

Meanwhile, Nur Chuzaimah, 56, a former BCA employee as the reporter stated that he was forced to report Ardi, because there was no good faith. Nur admitted that he had met the police twice at the Surabaya Police Headquarters for the mediation process, but there was no clear point.

"When I first met at the Surabaya Police Headquarters, he promised to return the Rp. 51 million, but I was waiting for no clarity. Then I met again, he promised again that until about five months there was no clarity either, until finally I decided that the case should be continued," said Nur.
