InJourney Airports Has Served 35.3 Million Passenger Movements In The First Quarter Of 2024

JAKARTA PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) recorded that it had served 35.3 million passenger movements during the first quarter of 2024.

The number of passenger movements has increased by 6 percent compared to the same period last year.

For aircraft movements, InJourney Airports recorded that it has served as many as 276,000 movements. This number grew 2 percent compared to aircraft movements in the same period last year which reached 272,000 movements.

As for cargo movements, as much as 336,000 tons of cargo were served throughout that period. This number grew 4 percent compared to last year's cargo movement.

InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi said, in the first quarter of 2024, InJourney Airports continued its positive operational performance record, as evidenced by growth in the passenger, aircraft, and cargo movement sector compared to the same period last year.

"Of course this is a good start this year, and is in line with the company's target for full recovery of air transportation traffic in 2024," he said in an official statement, Friday, April 26.

Faik explained that 35.3 million passenger movements in the first quarter of 2024 were divided into 26.7 million domestic passenger movements and 8.5 million passenger movements on international routes.

The movement of aircraft is divided into 223,000 movements of domestic routes and 53,000 movements of international routes. Meanwhile, cargo is divided into 273,000 tons of domestic cargo and 63,000 tons of international cargo," he explained.

During the first quarter of 2024, continued Faik, InJourney Airports airport with the most passenger and aircraft movements was Soekarno-Hatta Airport with 12.2 million passengers and 83,000 aircraft movements.

"Following in second place is Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 5.1 million passengers and 11,000 aircraft movements, and Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in third place with 2.1 million passenger movements and 16,000 aircraft movements," he explained.

For cargo movement, continued Faik, Soekarno-Hatta Airport became the airport with the highest cargo traffic, with 129,742 tons of cargo. In second place is Sentani Jayapura Airport with 36,792 tons of cargo, and following in third place is Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar with 23,492 tons of cargo.
