Gerindra Says Determination Of Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate Is Not Difficult Even Though It Is Supported By Many Political Parties

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad ensured that the determination of the vice presidential candidate in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would not be difficult even if it was filled by many political parties. Because the coalition supporting Prabowo Subianto will prioritize deliberation to get one name that will be paired with the general chairman of Gerindra to run for the 2024 presidential election.

"Actually, it's not (it's difficult). Because from the beginning the parties that the coalition had committed to completely leave it to Pak Prabowo. It's just that Pak Prabowo also wants to discuss consensus, so he will definitely be invited to talk to the existing party leaders," said Dasco at the DPR building, Thursday, September 21.

According to him, the discussion of Prabowo's vice presidential candidate is still very dynamic. Moreover, the registration of pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the KPU is still quite long, namely on October 19-25 next month.

So Dasco said, the chairmanes of KIM's political parties still have time to consider suitable names to be Prabowo's companion. "If the vice president is still disbursed, registration is still on the 19th. The ketums will negotiate about the vice president, we'll just be patient waiting," explained Dasco. Even so, the deputy chairman of the DPR did not want to divulge the names that had narrowed to become candidates for vice president. He emphasized that there would be a meeting of the ketums to discuss this matter.

"These party leaders meetings will be held, of course, the names will be discussed there. Yes, maybe someone will go out in public or even someone else will not, right. We'll just have to wait," said Dasco. It is known, there are eight political parties supporting Prabowo Subianto as the 2024 presidential candidate. Among them, Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, PBB, Gelora, Prima, PSI and Democrats.
