Jokowi's Reason For Not Using An OWN Building For The Marriage Of Kaesang Pangarep And Erina Gudono

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo revealed the reason for choosing Mangkunegaran Temple in Solo as the location for the wedding of his sons Kaesang Pangarep and Erina Gudono. Jokowi's family is known to have a wedding building called Graha Saba Buana.

"Yes, because the building is being used," said Jokowi, quoted from the Surakarta News YouTube channel, Monday, December 5.

The Graha Saba Buana building, located in Solo, has previously been used by Jokowi's family for the wedding location of Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Selvi Ananda.

"In the past, Mas Gibran and Mbak Ayang were also there [marriage], but other people had already booked it," he explained.

Jokowi said that as the owner of the rented building, it cannot act arbitrarily against consumers. Therefore, for consumers who have rented the Graha Saba Buana building, the Jokowi family still respects the existing agreement.

"Yes, we can't, we just have to move the building ourselves directly [which has been booked first] to order to move the day, tell them to move the building," said Jokowi.

On the same occasion, when Jokowi attended the last meeting to prepare for Kaesang-Erina's wedding in Solo, the President apologized to the public if something unwanted happened in connection with the holding of the celebration in Yogya and Solo.

The procession for the Kaesang-Erina wedding began with the marriage ceremony in Yogyakarta on Saturday, December 10. Next, the tasyakuran event in Solo on Sunday, December 11.

"I would like to apologize profusely, to the public both in Yogya and those in Solo for the marriage of Kaesang and Erina if later the event interferes," said Jokowi, quoted from the Surakarta News YouTube channel.

Like celebrations in general, organizing weddings will have an impact on traffic flow. The potential volume of vehicles increases if the event is held by officials, especially families from the presidential environment. Therefore, Jokowi apologized before the incident.

"Both disturbing the trip, disturbing the existing traffic, we apologize profusely to all people in Yogya maupu in Solo," said Jokowi.
