NasDem Candidate In DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Election: Anies Baswedan Top Priority, Ahmad Sahroni Second

Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Willy Aditya said Anies Baswedan was prioritized to run in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, the party created by Surya Paloh also prepared names such as the General Treasurer of NasDem Ahmad Sahroni and Wibi Andrino, Chairman of the DKI Jakarta NasDem DPW.

"Yes, Mas Anies' priority, the second priority is Ahmad Sahroni, there is Wibi Adrino," Willy told reporters at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27.

Even so, NasDem respects that Anies does not want to run in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election after being given an offer. "After all, if you don't go forward, you are also ready for an alternative that we have tried to do," said Willy.

"So whatever Mas Anies' decision, we support him because he is a political asset inside, both Jakarta and nationally. We'll wait for Mas Anies' own attitude," he continued.

As previously reported, the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, said that the possibility to carry Anies Baswedan in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election in November will be open.

"Yes, the probability in that direction still exists," said Surya at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27.

However, their party is still conducting a study. "The DKI Regional Headline sees later, don't just talk about it," he said.
