JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) said that home decoration products from Indonesia managed to record a transaction potential of 295,740 US dollars or more than Rp4.73 billion at Taiwan's 2024 Designed Giftery (DG). Participation of the Indonesian Pavilion in DG Taiwan 2024 was carried out in collaboration with the Directorate General of National Export Development and the Indonesian Trade and Economic Office (KDEI) Taipei.
Occupying the home decor zone, the Indonesian Pavilion displays various products, such as home decorations, eating utensils, and natural decoration sculptures.
Head of the Indonesian Trade and Economic Office (KDEI) Taipei Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan who inaugurated the Indonesian Pavilion hopes that Indonesia's participation in DG Taiwan will be able to increase the export of Indonesia's added value products to the Taiwan market.
Iqbal expressed his support for Indonesian business actors who are interested in expanding the export market to Taiwan.
"Taiwan is a potential market for Indonesian home decoration products. Participation in DG Taiwan is an opportunity for creative industry business actors to be able to penetrate and expand the market into Taiwan as well as can also be used as an entry point to the global market," said Iqbal.
