Marriage Ceremony, Mutiara Baswedan And Her Husband Wear Yogyakarta Traditional Clothing

JAKARTA - The eldest daughter of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan, Mutiara Baswedan and her husband, Ali Saleh Alhuraebi, officially held a marriage contract at Putri Duyung Resort, Ancol, North Jakarta.

Both were seen wearing traditional Yogyakarta clothes. This was revealed by Abdillah Rasyid Baswedan, the younger brother of Anies Rasyid Baswedan. Abdillah revealed, the procession of the marriage contract went smoothly, solemnly, and solemnly.

"The marriage ceremony was solemn and solemn, full of religious and cultural values. The bride and groom wore Javanese traditional clothes, namely Yogyakarta," said Abdillah in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, July 29.

Meanwhile, at the reception, Tia wore a new flea kebaya made of pink velvet and Yogya batik cloth with a sido asih motif and a cemeng background, while Ali wore a surjan and Yogyakarta batik cloth with a sido asih motif and a cemeng background.

According to him, Javanese (Yogyakarta) traditional clothes were also used by Anies Baswedan and Fery Farhati at the time of their marriage contract on May 11, 1996.

"Apart from the same traditional clothes, the story of Tia (Mutiara Baswedan) and Ali is the same as the story of Mr. Anies Baswedan and Mrs. Fery Farhati, which is that they were both met on campus," said Abdillah.

It is known, Anies Baswedan and Fery Farhati met at the Blue Campus, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Anies is at the Faculty of Economics, while Fery is at the Faculty of Psychology. Meanwhile, Tia and Ali met at the University of Indonesia (UI) Campus. Tia is from the Faculty of Law, while Ali is from the Faculty of Medicine.

Furthermore, the marriage contract procession was complemented by a marriage sermon delivered by Ustaz Nasir Mansur, a cleric from Jakarta and a graduate of Al Maliki Makkah. The content of the marriage sermon that was delivered by Ustaz Nasir was the same as that delivered by the Prophet Muhammad when he married his daughter, Fatimah Az-Zahra.

After the marriage sermon, the consent procession was continued. As the guardian of the marriage, Anies Baswedan immediately said the consent which was followed by acceptance by the groom. The Head of the Pademangan Religious Affairs Office (KUA), Saepulloh, was also present to take notes

marriage administration.

The two witnesses to the marriage were the closest people to the family, namely the uncle of the groom and the grandfather of the bride.

After the marriage contract procession was completed and officially became husband and wife, the groom accompanied by his father and Anies Baswedan headed to the main hall of Candi Bentar for a meeting and exchange of rings with the bride, Mutiara Annisa Baswedan.
