JAKARTA - Automotive enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) looking for an alternative to the country's best-selling all-terrain vehicles, such as the Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land Cruiser, now have the opportunity to purchase what is said to be the 'world's first all-terrain hypercar'.

The Prodrive Hunter, a limited edition manufactured in the UK, excels on road to desert routes, combining comfort and style with off-road performance.

The UAE is known to have become Prodrive's priority market, based on the large number of savvy luxury car collectors in the country, as well as its combination of classic desert terrain and world-class road systems.

"The UAE has a vast expanse of stunning desert terrain that remains to be explored, beyond the reach of asphalt roads," said Prodrive Chairman David Richards, as reported by The National News on May 30.

"The Hunter opens up the region with performance and capabilities far beyond those previously offered by all-terrain vehicles."

"At the same time, it has all the comforts of a luxury road car, making it a pleasure to drive on the UAE's incredible network of highways and highways, and to showcase in a modern city environment."

This four-wheel drive car comes with 600 horsepower, based on the competition car driven by rally legend Sebastien Loeb, but with a 50 percent increase in power.

Prodrive says the car will be able to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in less than four seconds, with a top speed of around 300 kilometers per hour.

The Prodrive Hunter made its first public appearance two months ago in Bahrain, to coincide with the Formula One Grand Prix.

"This will be delivered to the UAE in due course to give potential customers a chance to drive the car, and confirm their personal specifications for the production vehicle to be delivered later this year," Prodrive said.
