JAKARTA - The development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan and the development of domestic technology requires the participation of all elements of the nation.

Thus, there is a need for synergy and collaboration from the nation's children. Including the alumni of Telkom University and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) need to be improved so that they can contribute.

This was conveyed by the President of the Telkom University Alumni Forum (FAST) Sri Safitri during a meeting with the Bandung Institute of Technology Alumni Association (IA-ITB) chaired, Gembong Primadjaja.

During the meeting, various issues and ideas were discussed. Among other things, the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago; domestic technological developments; to collaboration between college alumni organizations in Bandung.

"In order to focus the government on building IKN, technological excellence and superior human resource capabilities are very important, and the challenge is how we can track talent from various universities such as Telkom University and ITB so that we can provide a more concrete role," said Sri Safitri in an official statement, Tuesday, March 15.

The second meeting of alumni organizations from universities that focus on the field of information and communications technology (ICT) also discussed joint work programs. Among other things, a joint vaccination center program; alumni business development; and also the formation of college alumni organizations throughout Bandung Raya.

The condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has lasted for almost three years and has had an impact on the Indonesian economy in general and the business sector rather than alumni, needs to find solutions and become joint work programs, such as training, mentoring or coaching clinics, and even capital participation in order to help business development programs. alumni. Therefore, the meeting between FAST and IA-ITB is the first step to collaborate with other college alumni organizations in Bandung so that a wider Bandung Alumni Forum will be formed whose benefits can be felt by alumni and the community.

“This gathering with IA-ITB is the opening. At this time we also open communication with other alumni organizations in Bandung. We want to have benefits for alumni and society. In order for the benefits to be more widespread, collaboration is needed. Therefore, building the Bandung Alumni Forum is the first step in realizing collaboration," said Sri.
