The Happiness Index Of Ganjar Pranowo's Citizens Continues To Increase, Governor Anies' Residents In Fact Decrease

SEMARANG - While being led by Governor Ganjar Pranowo, residents of Central Java continued to experience an increase in happiness. This is reflected in the Happiness Index survey conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) some time ago.

In the BPS survey, the happiness index of the people of Central Java reached 71.73 points. The happiness index has continued to increase since Central Java was led by Ganjar Pranowo.

In 2014, or Ganjar's first term in office, Central Java's happiness index was recorded at 67.81 points. Then in 2017, it rose to 70.92 points.

Ganjar himself said that the increase in the community's happiness index was all because of the people themselves. When people can live safely, peacefully, and peacefully, the happiness index will automatically rise.

"It's all because of the community, if people can be calm and peaceful, their happiness index should go up. For me, the important thing is that we communicate with the community and take care of each other's feelings", said Ganjar at his official residence on Sunday, January 2 .

In addition, the atmosphere of the life of the people of Central Java who help each other, continued Ganjar, also has an impact. The high sense of mutual help between people makes life more comfortable.

"So if there are difficulties in the community, neighbors left and right help. That makes people feel comfortable", he explained.

Ganjar said he would continue to try to increase the happiness index of the people of Central Java. He will not neglect this matter, because according to him it is not enough to build an area by building materials.

"It's not enough that we build material, but also spiritually. Hopefully, more and more people will be happy. If everyone is happy, it will be easier for us to get along, the more comfortable we will be with each other and that will make everything conducive", he concluded.

BPS conducts the Happiness Index survey for 2021 in the period from July 1 to August 27. As a result, the National Happiness Index for Indonesia has increased from 70.69 in 2017 to 71.49 in 2021.

For the provincial scale, the highest happiness index is North Maluku Province. While the lowest is Banten Province. In particular, Central Java Province, BPS recorded a happiness rate of 71.73 points.

The increase in the happiness index is certainly an achievement in itself for Central Java. This is because even though it has increased nationally, not all provinces have experienced an increase.

Ten provinces actually experienced a decrease in the happiness index. Namely DKI Jakarta, Banten, Yogyakarta, Bali and West Nusa Tenggara. Then Aceh, Riau, South Sumatra, Bengkulu and East Kalimantan.

The measurement of the level of happiness in Indonesia has been carried out since 2014 through the Happiness Level Measurement Survey (SPTK) which is carried out every 3 years. In 2021, the level of happiness of the Indonesian population is measured by 3 dimensions, namely satisfaction (life satisfaction), feelings (affect) and the meaning of life (eudaimonia).
