Attending The Rimpu Mantika Festival In Bima, Sandiaga Uno: It's Like Returning Home

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno assessed that the Rimpu Mantika Festival has succeeded in becoming the best festival in Indonesia. Where, the festival was held in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara Province

"For me, the City of Bima has its own impression. Returning to Bima is like returning home," said Sandiaga quoting Antara.

He said that Rimpu Mantika succeeded in becoming the best festival in Indonesia by entering the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) in 2024. That way, he continued, meaning that the Rimpu Mantika Festival managed to convince experts, tourism sector activists.

"Because we see the rich culture of Bima and the active of extraordinary MSMEs. By raising the theme "Heritage of Bima", three potentials for the Bima and Dompu regions that have local weaving commodities are worthy of recognition," he said.

Sandiaga said the Rimpu Mantika Festival was not just a parade, apart from the fashion tradition, it was also presented with the richness of the beauty of Bima culture, feshen and the creative economy which were no less unique.

"Happy Rimpu Mantika, let's preserve culture for future generations. Because our goal is to move the economy to create job opportunities, with economic effects that bring blessings," said Sandiaga Uno.

Acting Mayor of Bima, Mohammad Rum expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This activity was held thanks to the determination of the Rimpu Mantika Festival to be included in the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) in 2024 by the Ministry of Tourism.

"Hopefully this event will not only be held once a year, if possible at least once every 2 months. For economic growth there are only two ways, bring in people and bring in investors to Bima City," said Mohammad Rum.

He hopes that through these activities, Bima City can be equal to other cities in Indonesia.

"Hopefully Bima City is equal to other cities in the archipelago," he said.
