KPK Charged For Follow Up On Report Of Alleged PCR Business

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has been asked to fulfill its promise to investigate the alleged business of procuring PCR test kits.

This request was submitted by the Adil Makmur Party (PRIMA) which has reported to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marinves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and SOE Minister Erick Thohir.

PRIMA Deputy Chairman, Alif Kamal said the KPK had to prove its promise to investigate the allegations involving the two ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

"We just want to ask for an initial review as they promised the public," Alif told reporters, Wednesday, November 17.

This collection is carried out through a letter that has been received by the KPK correspondence officer. Alif hopes that with the letter, the process to investigate this allegation will be clearer.

"Hopefully, soon we will be able to see clarity about the alleged PCR business," he said. Previously, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri admitted that he would not indiscriminately investigate corruption allegations that originated from public reports, including the PCR test business. He ensured that all allegations of corruption would be thoroughly investigated if it became the authority of the anti-corruption commission.

"KPK will never tire of eradicating corruption. Whoever the perpetrator is, we will take firm action according to the law," said Firli some time ago via his Twitter account @firlibahuri.

He asked the community to be patient because his subordinates are currently working. "KPK will not indiscriminately. KPK works professionally according to the adequacy of evidence," he said.
