Not A Toy, Buzz Runs A Mission To Space In The 'Lightyear' Teaser
JAKARTA - The iconic character of Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear will have his own story. In the film titled Lightyear, this time Buzz is told to be a Captain of the Universe Protection from the Space Ranger.
Wednesday, October 27, Disney Pixar surprised fans by releasing a teaser trailer featuring Buzz Lightyear's journey, voiced by Chris Evans. In addition, Buzz will be fighting an evil emperor named Zurg.
The short video shows Buzz Lightyear setting off into space on a mission. This teaser is accompanied by the song Starman sung by David Bowie.
This film became director Angus MacLane's way of telling the original story of Buzz Lightyear's character before being known as a toy in Toy Story.

“(If) made in the world of Toy Story it feels weird. So another way is to make a sci-fi film about the character of Buzz Lightyear," MacLane told Entertainment Weekly.
“This is a Buzz Lightyear movie. It stands alone. About his character as a space guard not as a toy," he said.
In addition to the teaser, Disney Pixar also unveiled a poster featuring Buzz Lightyear's outfit in detail.
The Lightyear film also expands the Toy Story franchise which earned three million trillion worldwide.
The Lightyear film will hit theaters in June 2022. Watch the teaser below:
