Inviting Muslims To Unite To Win Elections, Musni Umar 'Slapped' This Social Media Activist: You Are Not Representations, Islam Is Broad!
JAKARTA - The statement by the Chancellor of the University of Ibnu Chaldun Musni Umar who encouraged Muslims to unite to win the General Election (Pemilu) drew criticism from Yusuf Muhammad.
This social media activist said that the method proposed by Musni would not work. He then quipped by asking whether Jokowi's voters in the previous election were not Muslim.
"Do you think that @musniumar, who voted for Jokowi yesterday, wasn't a Muslim?", said Yusuf on his Twitter account, Monday, October 25.
Yusuf Muhammad also reminded Musni Umar not to underestimate Islam by turning it into a commodity of political interest.
"Please note! That @musniumar and also including his friends do not feel the most entitled in the name of Islam,"
"You are not a representative of Islam. Islam is Rahmatanlilalamiin, the scope is very broad, not just about politics. Enough, don't embarrass Islam with your dirty politics".
"If the way of politicking is like this until Eid your horse will not be able to win", Yusuf Muhammad tweeted on his Twitter account.

"They can choose leaders to bring prosperity, bring justice, and prosperity. But the fact is that these Muslims are outside the system," said Musni on the @Musni Umar Channel, today.
