Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte Troubled In Bareskrim Detention Center, Police Coordinate Transfer To Cipinang Prison

JAKARTA - The National Police is planning to transfer Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte from the Criminal Investigation Department to the Cipinang Release. This transfer plan was because Napoleon often made trouble.

"We are coordinating the detainees of the judges to transfer them to Cipinang Prison", said Polri's Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Agus Andrianto, to reporters, Friday, October 8.

Coordination was carried out because Inspector General Napoleon was the only convicts who were kept in the Criminal Investigation Detention center. Coordination, in this case, is carried out by the Directorate of Corruption Crimes.

However, Agus did not specify the coordination process that had been carried out. He emphasized that the transfer of the detention of Inspector General Napoleon depended on the results of the coordination.

"It is being coordinated by Dittipikor (Regarding track record and experience in handling Corruption)", said Agus.

For information, in the case of removing the red notice for Joko Tjandra, Inspector General Napoleon was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the judges of the Jakarta Corruption Court.

On appeal, the panel of judges upheld the verdict. This means that Napoleon Bonaparte is still proven to be proven according to the indictment of Article 5 of Law no. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

Napoleon Bonaparte was proven to have received bribes of US$370,000 (approximately IDR 5.137 billion) and 200,000 Singapore dollars (approximately IDR 2.1 billion) from the convict in the corruption case of Bank Bali Djoko Tjandra through Tommy Sumardi so that Napoleon Bonaparte helped the process of removing Djoko's name. Tjandra from the People's Wanted List (DPO) registered at the Directorate General of Immigration.
