The Man Who Was Imprisoned And Persecuted In Duren Sawit, Allegedly Embezzled Rp1 Billion Investor's Money

JAKARTA - Based on the results of the investigation by the Duren Sawit Police, two men with the initials M and A were detained and abused in a house in the Pondok Kopi area, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, are suspected of being involved in a failed investment.

Paur Min Ops of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police, Ipda Tatan, said that M initially had a plastic seed processing business. However, in the past year, M has lost contact with investors.

"Meanwhile, they (the investors) have prepared a lot of money", said Tatan when contacted by reporters, Tuesday, September 21.

Currently, the police will develop the case and have pocketed the business address of M.

"It's not a fraudulent investment, the notes are there, it's just not working (the business). The victims (the perpetrators of confinement and abuse) were checked, the locations were in two places", he said.

Even so, Tatan has not been able to provide information about the number of losses suffered by the perpetrators of the confinement and persecution of M.

"I don't know yet, it's definitely hundreds of millions", he said.

As previously reported, the East Jakarta Metro Police Rajawali Team managed to rescue two victims of being held captive and abused at a house located on Mawar Merah Street, Pondok Kopi, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. The victims were identified as Makmur and Ashari.

Deputy head of team 1 Rajawali Bripka Markon Samuel said that after receiving the report, they went directly to the crime scene (TKP).

"We received reports related to allegations of confinement and abuse. It turned out that after arriving at the location, we received news that the victim was there", he told reporters, Tuesday, September 21.

For further processing, the case is handled by the Duren Sawit Police.
