President Jokowi Is Advised Not To Rush About The Reshuffle, The Beginning Of The Year Is More Appropriate
JAKARTA - Political observer Karyono Wibowo believes that a cabinet reshuffle is not urgent in the near future. This is because President Joko Widodo has just reshuffled his cabinet a few months ago.
"It hasn't been long since the new president did a reshuffle, it looks like it won't be in the near future, but I predict that there will be a reshuffle either at the end of the year or early 2022", Karyono told VOI, Thursday, September 16.
Not only to accommodate new coalition political parties, according to the Executive Director of the Indonesian Public Institute (IPI), President Jokowi must have the courage to announce ministerial red reports and carry out a massive cabinet reshuffle.
"The president already has a red acolyte report card, it should be replaced. There's no need to hesitate because this is a gamble on the name of the president in the last period", said Karyono.
"If the president allows ministers who are incompetent to work, they will be defended, the president will also be affected", he continued.

Karyono added that the failure of the government caused by unqualified presidential assistants and not good in performance will actually increase public distrust of the government. Moreover, the president as head of government must be responsible.
Therefore, Karyono advised President Jokowi not to rush into a cabinet reshuffle. It is better now that the President really carefully evaluates which ministers should be replaced.
"The president should not rush to evaluate properly, maybe the end of early or mid-2022. (Ideally, ed) early or late in the year, the reshuffle is more appropriate", concluded Karyono.
