Basarnas Team Finds One Fisherman Victim Of The South Konawe Sea Accident
KENDARI – The Basarnas team together with several fishermen managed to find victims of a longboat and tugboat marine accident that occurred in the Tobea Strait, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The victim was identified as La Ula (32).
Basarnas Kendari Wahyudi said the location where the victim was found was 1.24 Nautical miles (NM) northeast of the accident site. Wahyudi also explained that today's search is counted as the fifth day after the accident of the two ships.
The accident that caused La Ula's victim to fall into the sea was discovered at around 15:20 WITA from the Kendari KPP Command Center based on information from the victim's family Ramlan. In the search for Basarnas, the main tools are 1 unit of Rescue Car, 1 unit of an ambulance, 1 unit of Rubber Boat, and other supporting equipment.
"The search for victims has been expanded with the hope of finding victims. The Basarnas team is in the east while the family/resident team is looking in the west", said Wahyudi.

Basarnas received information on a marine accident from Ramlan that at 11.15 WITA there was a longboat with a Tugboat Syukur 23 around the Tobea Strait, Polewali waters, South Konawe Regency, which caused one longboat passenger to fall into the sea.
Based on the report, at 15:40 WITA, the KPP Kendari Rescue Team as many as 7 people were dispatched to the accident site to provide SAR assistance.
The joint team rushed to the accident site which is 73 kilometers from the Kendari KPP Office.
Previously, an accident occurred between a longboat and a tugboat in the Tobea Strait, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. At that time, La Ula, a resident of Tampo Village, Muna Regency, was on a Tugboat Syukur 23 route Kolonodale - Kabaena.
